POS (Point of Sale) Technician
General Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communications skills.
- Must be flexible to work some nights and weekends.
- Ability to self supervise work in virtual capacity.
- Detailed-orientated to complete required paperwork and submit information to management on a daily basis.
- Requires ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Specific Requirements:
- Tech should have basic PC tool kit, patch cables, etc.
- Tech should have some background of working on the type of unit that needs to have troubleshooting and/or work done on it. For example, if a tech is bidding on a break/fix call to go out and troubleshoot a printer, they should have knowledge of working with printers. Items that are typical for break/fix might be: printers, copiers, cable runs, POS, Desktop PC's, Cash drawers, Handheld scanning devices, Debit/Credit machines, etc.
- Tech should be good at troubleshooting what the issue might be, testing all options, working with help desk to find and then fix the issue, patient and good communicator.
